Fashion Scout saw the return of Turkish designer Gül Agiş’s label Lug Von Siga. After making a powerful statement last Fashion Week her show was much anticipated and it did not disappoint. Lug Von Siga’s S/S 14 collection took a tribal approach with monochrome statement pieces to gorgeous deep red infused pieces with tribal aspects and resonant tribal music to match . Inspired by the rich culture of the Moari/New Zealand as well as her own Turkish culture, the designer brought beautiful pieces with powerful masks and wood carving references, incorporated in her designs.
With leather, sheer silk, tassels and gorgeous appliqué techniques incorporated in these to create the tribal mask style prints the Lug Von Siga S/S 14 collection had no chance of going wrong.
The final aesthetic was decadent, luxurious and lavish; the Lug Von Siga woman is nothing but sexy, dignified and most importantly, fierce. We can only anticipate Gül’s next collection.
