It was all optical illusions and monochrome graphics with splash of red, orange and grey at Spring/Summer 2014 collection of Edun, the label founded in 2005 by rocker Bono and his wife Ali Hewson which promotes change through a trading relationship with Africa.
There was much interest in what could be on offer following Sharon Wauchob’s shock departure from Edun in April, and her successor is Danielle Sherman delivered with gusto.
From the first look to hit the runway – high thigh-slit hand woven check wrap dress and clashing printed coat – to a range of cropped tops, boxy jackets, trousers, skirts in graphic prints graduating to oversized sweaters, bright orange sportswear, white loose fitted dresses and leather pieces in white, black and red.
