Dame Daphne Sheldrick has launched her autobiography entitled ‘An African Love Story: Love, Life and Elephants’. Commended worldwide as the first person to have successfully hand-reared newborn elephants and also founder of ”The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’ in Kenya the book is jam-packed with stories and tales of her adventurous travels.
Daphane shares heart warming memorirs and stories of her incredible relationships with a host of orphaned wildlife, including Bushy, a liquid-eyed antelope and Eleanor, the majestic elephant with whom she has shared much of her life with. She also tells us about her husband David Sheldrick, the famous Tsavo Park warden, who also shared her passion for wildlife.
