‘Mukulu’ singer, popularly known as Skales has been reported to have left the EME music label. The young rapper bowed out of Empire Mates Entertainment following the expiration of his 3 year contract which was due January 2014.


EME officially announced Skales’ exit yesterday based on the report that the rapper was not making enough money worthy of extending his contract. Skales’ contract was also not renewed because of his sudden switch from being a rapper to a singer, which was not what he signed up for into the EME label. According to the label, the rapper was influenced by the success of his buddy, Wizkid who is a thriving artists in the music industry.

An update report from Hiphopworld states that, Skales may have joined Dem Mama Records owned by the ‘Ukwu’ crooner, Timaya also adding that Skales has already moved into the singer’s apartment. “He may be signing with Dem Mama Records soon, he has moved in with him,” the reliable souce specified.

No official statement has been released by Skales to confirm or refute these claims but we hope to get an update as soon as possible from the singer.
