I love Rihanna.
I am a BIG BIG BIG FAN. Sometimes I think my friends are right when they say I am obsessed with her.
And just when they think I am about to stop loving her, she gives me a reason to keep loving her and stay glued to my TV on the 12th of Febuary where the event will be broadcasted LIVE from the Staples center in Los Angeles. I wasn’t the only one excited about the news last year when they announced their collaboration. Eyebrows were raised when the two camps confirmed that they’d written a track together back in September of last year, with the resultant ‘Princess Of China’ going on to be one of the most pop-orientated numbers on Chris Martin and co’s fifth studio album ‘Mylo Xyloto,’ and also gaining a single release. Charting well in America, reaching 20 in the US Billboard Top 100 on its release in November, the clamour has since been to see them perform it live together.
Now Rihanna has confirmed that she and Coldplay will indeed be performing the track live at the forthcoming Grammy’s, with The Press Association saying she confirmed the news by tweet, saying “My friends Coldplay and I will be sharing the stage for this year’s annual Grammy Awards – bonkers,” the star also went on to express how “great” the news was. RiRi is also nominated for four Grammys including album of the year for LOUD and Coldplay nominated for three awards.
EXCITED!!!
The CBS show will be hosted by LL Cool J and Paul McCartney was also announced by The Recording Academy as another performer added to the ceremony. The ex-Beatle is being honored during Grammy week as the MusiCares person of the year. His new album, “Kisses on the Bottom,” will be released Feb. 7.
Other Grammy performers include the Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and Jason Aldean.
