Deziani Allison Madueke, Nigeria`s oil minister, introduced major sufferings into Nigerian families by telling the PPRA to announce its removal of oil subsidy, increasing the price tag of transportation by 100%.
A few days before Christmas, a widow left her house with her five children, making her way towards the village. She says, “I paid three thousand naira for each of us to travel to the village and had set aside another eighteen thousand for the return trip”.
However, when she arrives at the motor park on the 2nd January 2012, a day after the removal of oil subsidy, she learns that the cost of transportation had increased. They ask her to pay them six thousand naira per head, leaving her to break down and cry, begging them to allow her to pay three thousand naira instead. But they ignored her and unhappily, she walked away. At the same time, Deziani Allison Madueke`s family were travelling around the world in a private jet, sponsored by government, although Deziani Allison Madueke claims to be ‘broke’.
While some Nigerians bitterly suffer, representatives of the government are out there having fun.
Photos attained from sources show Nigeria Oil Minister, Diezani Alison Madueke’s sons living large, complete with private jet travels, luxury ship vacations and hanging out with local and international superstars such as D’banj, Neyo and Cecil Hammond.
If this is being broke, wonder what opulent living is like for the Maduekes…
