Nigeria is wining! In an election held yesterday Tuesday November 12th in Hambantota, Sri Lanka, Ahmed Adamu, (pictured above) emerged the Chairperson of the Commonwealth Youth Council. Ahmed had contested and beat delegates from twenty one other countries to emerge the winner.
The Commonwealth Youth Council is the recognized voice of 1.2 billion young people and a Nigerian is now the Chairman.

Ahmed Adamu is from Kastina State and a graduate of Bayero University Kano with a PhD in Economics, from Newcastle University, UK. He is the Founder and Pioneer President of Youth Participation for Progressive Development Initiative. He is also member, Katsina State Executive Council Committee on Youth restiveness and Unemployment and Secretary, Constitutional review Committee, Katsina Central Constituency.
