Following outstanding performances over the years, Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has fulfilled the promise he made to movie fans all over the world – directing and rolling out quality movies from his Sky + Orange Production house is now a reality.

The multi talented Van Vicker, known is currently about to direct his fifth movie titled Lost. Some of his previous productions under Sky + Orange Productions are Friday Night (08), Raj (10), The Hands Of Time (Sept. 2012) and Joni Waka (Nov. 2012).

Friday Night which was released in 2008 got people talking about Van’s talent as a director, with arguments from critics in some sections of the industry asking if he could stand the test of time. Then came another Raj which silenced these critics, with many giving the budding director thumbs up for a good job well done.

Van went on to direct and produce two more movies titled The Hands Of Time starring some of the well known names in the industry, Kofi Adjorlolo and Nadia Buari. In one of his most recent projects, Van Vicker has explored a genre not familiar to his fans. As well as directing Van also features in the comedy thriller titled Joni Waka which stars himself and Ghana’s king of comedy Agyaa Koo.

Speaking of Lost, Van says, “It is my career and my passion, I am giving it my all to make it work. This piece is more or less an epic modern kind of movie and Ghanaians will experience a never seen before action. I want to expose areas that have not been explored in the industry. I thank God for my fantastic production team and I know without a doubt that we will deliver.”

Lost will be out in December or early next year and fans should expect to see ‘a different movie’. The movie dubbed to be a blockbuster never seen before features Ghallywood and Nollywood stars.

While Van Vicker is busy directing and producing, on the acting front he continues to make waves too.  Having won best actor in the ACRAG awards in 2008, Pan African creative actor in 2011, best African Caribbean actor in 2009, best actor African American in 2009 and nominated twice in the AMAA and Ghana movie awards (GMA) respectively, Van is now nominated for this year’s much-anticipated 2012 edition of the Nollywood Academy Films Critics Awards (NAFCA) and the Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA), in the best male actor and achievement awards categories respectively.

Speaking from one of his movie sets, he said, “ It is a great honor to be nominated for these awards. I am truly humbled. We are hoping for the best. I believe I have given my all in the work I have done so far and winning these awards will continue to commemorate my efforts.”

While anticipating winning the awards; Van also has more to look forward to, as he has been working tirelessly on his forth coming movie premiere for his latest project under his Sky + Orange Productions titled The Hands of Time. The premiere is billed to be a star-studded event, which will be held at the SilverBirds cinemas on Friday the 3rd of August, 2012.
