Rock My Body is a dancehall/ragga tune about a girl (Wiyaala) and a boy (Jupitar) searching for “real” relationships in contemporary Ghana with some surprising results!

Shot on location in Aishaman market, the video is a Djimba World production directed by Mr Chaplin featuring VGMA nominated dancehall artist Jupitar and dancers from the 4Bent crew.

“This song is so much fun!” said Wiyaala “Whenever I do it live, I ask the guys to come on stage and Rock My Body and they really love shaking their waists!  But there is a serious message – true love will find you where you least expect it. We also wanted to shoot something that was vibrant, fun and about real working Ghanaians living in harmony”, the singer added.

The song, which was produced at Genius Selection Sudios, is a re-worked version of  The Soul Sisters 1960’s hit, Wreck a Buddy, which drew it’s influences from the melody line of “The Drummer Boy”.

Noella Wiyaala became popular with TV viewers in 2011 for her electrifying live performances on Charterhouse’s Stars of the Future and the 2012 Vodafone Icons Mixed Edition TV Reality Show.
