FAB Gist: Gabourey Sidibe Slams Golden Globe Dress Critics with One Tweet – “I Cried on my Private Jet”

There is no denying that actress Gabourey Sidibe who made her debut with Precious is big, beautiful and bold. While her Golden Globe look, a shimmering off-white gown, designed by her stylist Daniel Musto in with Michael Costello Couture was not her best look to date, when criticised on social media, Gabby decided to give as good as she got.

“To people making mean comments about my GG pics, I mos def cried about it on that private jet on my way to my dream job last night. #JK,” the actress tweeted.

While Gabourey may have had the last laugh in the style of British singer James Blunt who spent a good part of 2013 tweet-slamming haters with witty one liners, designer Michael Costello didn’t sound too impressed on his Instagram feed sharing Sidibe’s dress.

“To everyone asking I just wanted to show you the original dress design for Gabourey sidibe . This I made for her and a stylist name Daniel Musto altered it . Gabby is so sweet and wonderful and I think she is an amazing confident actress . And hope to work together again with out the middle men!” the designer captioned the dress, suggesting perhaps he was not too keen on Musto’s alterations.

The designer need not worry though, as another one of his Golden Globe creations, this time for Cassie, was very well received on social media.
