American musician and media mogul Sean Combs known as Diddy has readopted his old nickname ‘Puff Daddy’. He announced this on Tuesday following the trailer clip for ‘Big Homie’ his upcoming single featuring Rick Ross and French Montana.
The 44-year-old artist dropped the name Puff Daddy back in 2001 when he shortened his name to P.diddy while in 2005 he shortened his name again to just Diddy.
According to NY Daily News the name change comes just before the release of his first album in four years, “MMM.”
Combs however insists that his name has always been Puff Daddy saying:
“ For the record, I did not change my name. I always have been and always will be PUFF DADDY! Be cool Man lol #MMM#BigHomie RT!!!!”
