The Newgen scheme is a fashion programme initiated in 1993 by the British Fashion Council to provide a platform for talented young designers to showcase their work. Ever since its launch it has had a roll call of designers like Matthew Williamson, Julien Macdonald and the late great Alexander McQueen.  In 2001, Newgen joined force with mega retailer Topshop and is now known as the Topshop Newgen Initiative. It showcases the work of younger designers like Christopher Kane, Erdem and London’s print princess Mary Katranzou.

In celebration of the 10 year collaboration with Topshop, the designers have each been asked to create a T-shirt in their distinctive style. Each Tee will be sold during fashion week (for the small price of £30), launching on 17th of February. They will be available at every Topshop store as well as Topshop’s online site.
