I’m sure I’m not alone in my stud loving obsession; it’s a simple addition to an outfit that makes a big statement. The edge is definitely back in fashion, as much as I love the subtleness of pastel and the sexiness of a plain panel dress, nothing compares to that added oomph you get when you add studs to an outfit. It’s become that sexy accessory, than can transform you into a rock chick or just show people that you mean business. It used to just be associated with the heavy metal rockers of the world, but it’s taken the world by storm now and everybody’s doing it, and adding it anywhere they can.
Take the Versace ss12 collection, Versace works the gold studs on the material for a feminine and chic look, that has that extra spark and edge to it.
It doesn’t stop there adding studs to an outfit, is vast becoming more than just a trend but a style phenomenon. People all over the world are starting to realise that although high street stores wow us with their own takes on the trend, we can also try it ourselves. Yes you’ve got it I mean DIY, if you’re on a budget or you just rather save the money, you can add the studs yourself. They come in many different sizes and can be added to pretty much anything from a bag, to a shirt, or even your phone cover.
Here’s some DIY examples
It’s a very simple process, and worth the effort, you can purchase some from sites like amazon , Studs and Punks and Etsy ; all you have to do is type into the search area, what type of studs you want, for instance pyramid or dome studs. In addition if you don’t know how to attach the studs below are some DIY videos, that you can watch to familiarise yourself, and to assist you whilst you do it.
However if you really dread having to do DIY there is still hope yet, take a look at my FAB studded finds.
