Never has a stamp collection looked so good – as Royal Mail unveils a new collection of commemorative stamps celebrating the best of post-war British fashion.
Some of the industry’s best are represented from Alexander McQueen to Vivienne Westwood to Hardy Amies in the collection that features faceless models photographed by Norwegian fashion photographer Solve Sundsbo sporting the best of British fashion.
Some of the most recognisable designs featured are Tommy Nutter’s suit for Beatle Ringo Starr, Vivienne Westwood’s 1993 Harlequin dress, famously modeled by Naomi Campbell and Alexander McQueen’s Horn of Plenty ensemble from autumn / winter 2009-10 featuring black duck feathers.
While the post prices may have gone up recently, we are willing to splash out on such fashionable additions to our envelopes. The ten designs will be on sale tomorrow priced at £6.00 for a complete set.
