How great is it to receive more fab news from one of Britain’s finest designers Romero Bryan updating us on what he has been up to since Arise Magazine Fashion Week Lagos in March 2012.

Romero is off to Berlin tomorrow to work on an African fashion film project in conjunction with & Germany’s Next Top Model by Heidi Klum 2012.

Other upcoming worldwide event locations (ie. World Music Awards, Congo Fashion Week, Latin Couture Fashion Week +more) are yet to be confirmed.

So let’s see what has been happening in Romero Bryan’s world since March 2012…

Supermodel Alek Wek recently tweeted that she “was honoured” to wear the ROMERO BRYAN SS’12 ‘Heroa’ beaded gown adorned with precious Swarovski crystals at Arise Magazine Fashion Awards in Lagos.

Check out Alek Wek’s message to the world about Romero’s work:

Couturier Bruce Oldfield & his team suggested the Romero Bryan SS’12 ‘Heroa’ gown “would look amazing in red” when asked for their opinion, and they also tweeted “We’ve checked out your website too, you’ve done some really interesting stuff.”

June Ambrose (stylist to Mary J Blige, P. Diddy, Jay Z, to name but a few) suggested the Romero Bryan SS’12 ‘Heroa’ gown be made in “cerulean blue” when asked for her opinion tweeted.

Jasmine Dotiwala (Producer / Director / Broadcaster / Journalist at MTV International, Channel 4, & BBC for example) featured the designer and his collections in a blog post about her recent experience at Tobago Fashion Week.

FAB magazine (now stocked worldwide) interviewed Romero for the ‘Noir’ issue in April 2012 – but you already knew that, right?

Photos of Romero Bryan’s showcase at Arise Magazine Fashion Week 2012 were featured in Zen Magazine in March 2012.

Since March, Romero has been invited to attend and show as a ‘guest designer’, the Romero Bryan AW ‘12 collection and a montage of the designer’s favourite garments from previous collections, at several fashion events in the Caribbean this year.

St Lucia Caribbean Collections Fashion Week 2012 (Mar ’12)

BB Fashion Week 2012 – International Fashion Festival in Barbados  (APR ’12)

Tobago Fashion Weekend 2012 (MAY ’12)

All three of these events have similar goals and objectives; to provide business and export opportunities for local designers, to promote the islands as destinations offering a high quality shopping experience, to encourage, educate and develop the local fashion industry, to attract international fashion media, buyers and investors to the island, and to encourage international designers to open stores on the island. There appears to be strong force behind wanting to further expose and promote Caribbean fashion to a regional and international audience.

Romero sends much love and his gratitude to all his family, friends, fans and supporters and judging by how much he has got up to in the last three months, we can’t wait to see what news he will have for us in the near future.
