Her debut into fashion world during London Fashion Week with a River Island collaboration may have been panned by fashion critics but it’s not enough to put a dampener on Rihanna’s mood as the Bajan singer made a steallar appearance on Monday evening at the River Island store in London’s Oxford Street to promote her collection.
Dressed in one of her designs, a floor-length black gown which featured a thigh high split and a cut-out back, the 25-year-old couldn’t have looked any more different than her usual wardrobe of crop top and tiny shorts. The singer accessorised her dress with a pair of heeled burgundy sandals and gold jewellery.
Speaking to Grazia magazine this week, Rihanna also revealed that her inspiration for the collection was her own wardrobe. “I designed every single piece in the collection so I could wear it,’ the singer-said, “I think my fans trust my style so they’ll have fun with it.’
