As we wait with baited breath to see who will emerge as winners at 85th Academy Awards, we while away the time admiring the looks on the red carpet.
Here is the FAB first look at what the red carpet has delivered – and continues to – at the Dolby Theatre.
Reese Witherspoon dazzles in cobalt blue Louis Vuitton which brings out the colour of her eyes and complements her complexion. And trust Reese to always always pull off the Hollywood glam hair.
Naomie Harris flashes those to-die-for legs in this mustard gown with an adventurous slit. We are loving the hair!
A last-minute dress change for Anne Hathaway who steps out in a pink satin Prada.
J Hud totally dazzles in a long-sleeve gun metal Roberto Cavalli with the matching clutch. The hair? We are not as dazzled.
Jessica Chastain may look like she has taken the safe option with an inoffensive shade. But with blush Armani Prive which suprisingly complements her skin, side-swept hair and red hot lips, she definitely brings old school glam to the red carpet. Definitely one of our favourites!
Amy Adams look princess-like powder in blue princess dress by Oscar de la Renta. Love the messy updo and drop earrings but the dress – not so sure.
Semi-Oscar nominee, semi-bride, Silver Linings Playbook actress Jennifer Lawrence makes a bold move in bridal inspired Dior Haute Couture.
Kelly keeps it classy in this monochrome Donna Karan Atelier number with a slight side split. It doesn’t quite live up to her sexy Grammys look but overall a good look.
Kerry Washington opts for a coral Miu Miu gown with an embellished bust. We love this colour on her, but the hair – not so much!
Zoe Saldana looks gorgeous in this Alexis Mabille Couture gown with embellished bust and ombre hemline which graduates from grey to black. She can teach Kerry a thing or two about hair styling too.
Congo’s Rachel Mwanza repped Ankara in a colourful dress with an asymmetrical hemline.
Le Mis actress Amanda Seyfried looks a delight in this amazing Alexander McQueen gown. And the updo really works with this look too.
Another Dior Haute Couture in striking white. The fit, the cut, the colour all work for the statuesque Charlize Theron. And only she can pull off the pixie cut.
Hollywood royalty Catherine Zeta Jones looks liquid gold in this Zuhair Murad gown. The hair is classic Catherine and somehow works with the drop earrings.
Octavia Spencer in blush Tadashi Shoji looks suitably glam. We are loving her fringe too.
Sandra Bullock didn’t fare too far from her usual style in this Elie Saab Haute Couture from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
Nicole Kidman looked delectable in a black and gold sequin L’Wren Scott gown.
Best Supporting Actress nominee for Lincoln Sally Fields dazzles in deep red Valentino.
Another Hollywood royalty not shy to don daring colour is Jane Fonda who works the neon look in Versace. And if only she could let us in on the secret to that killer body!
Sally Filed was not the only dame in red Valentino as Jennifer Aniston graced the red carpet in what looked like a prom dress.
After a brief and controversial flirting with colour at the Grammys, Adele went back to black in a spectacular way in a Jenny Peckham gown.
Kristen Stewart who showed up sporting a pair of crutches braved the red carpet briefly in Reem Acra and looked like she’d forgotten her edge at home.
In a black velvet halter neck Alexander McQueen with gold collar detail and super glam updo, Salma Hayek looks every inch the Hollywood star.
Helen Hunt went out-of-the-box with an eco-conscious H&M gown paired with $700,000 worth of jewels.
One of the finest ladies of the night was none other than Halle Berry in a striped metallic gown by Versace.
Queen Latifah looked radiant in a plunging neckline white dress.
Last but not the least, the youngest Best Actress nominee Quvenzhane Wallis is our FAB favourite from the red carpet in Armani Junior and custom made doggy handbag.
