Coming off his first show, Jacob Kimme decided to showcase his spring collection for the second time at the  African Fashion International.

Romantic, sensual  and religious that the was the message I got from his latest collection. I used the word religious because it gave the idea of a church, especially with dove printed dresses. Romantic and sensual on the other hand came from the sheer looks which showed different parts of the model’s body.

The silhouette was nipped in at the waist , with mid-length day dresses and floor length gowns whilst keeping to his monochrome  palette.

It’s quite interesting as black has been seen in a lot of collections at AFI, first at Tart, then at Alexander Koutney and now Kimmie. It will be very interesting to see how the trend interprets into the high street shop.
