The gala show of the recently concluded Africa Fashion Week London on Saturday 4 August was a chance for the London audience to have a glimpse of delightful designs by designers showcasing in the capital for the first time, and one such designers was Ghana’s rising fashion star Brigitte Merki-Ibrahim of couture label Brigitte Merki.
The collection comprising cocktail dresses in light pastel shades of blush, yellow and blue and more flamboyant evening wear in opulent champagne and bronze and her use of fabrics from more laid back cotton to indulgent lace and tulle were proof of the couturier’s diverse range in this beautifully coherent collection for the sophiscated woman.
