London-based Congolese designer Tina Lobondi is known for her use of subtle touches of African details in feminine designs which make use of soft fabrics and loose draping; her Autumn/Winter ’12-’13 collection showcased at iROCK Tribes of Africa was no different with elegant evening gowns and sophisticated midi dresses in dominant colours of black and midnight blue with occasional bursts of colour and print displaying her signature features. Structure shoulders juxtaposed with softer tailoring, satin complemented by metallics, sexy side and front slits, daring low cuts created sexy, sophisticated silhouettes of the contemporary women confident in her skin.

While Tina was not able to join the guests at Tribes of Africa, her PR Karine Laudort-Idonije was at hand to represent the designer on the runway.
