Not only did the top Champagne brand provide an amazing party for guests at the 2012 Arise Magazine Fashion Week with co sponsor of the event, Belvedere Lounge, they also celebrated the winners by presenting them each with a bottle of their finest beverages.
At the conclusion of the Arise Magazine Fashion Week, Tokini Peterside, Marketing Manager, Moet Hennessy explained,
“This evening has been a celebration of the success of the Fashion Week, and is an opportunity to reward the most outstanding players among them. Moet & Chandon is an avid supporter of fashion and glamorous occasions, and we are proud to be part of the success story of the Arise Magazine Fashion Awards.”
The Designer of the year award went to Maki Oh and KLuK CGDT. The Emerging designer of the year award was picked up by Loza Maléombho while LaQuan Smith emerged as Young Designer of the year. Odio Mimonet and David David were handed the Innovative Designer(s) of the year while The Lifetime Achievement award went to British designer of Ghanaian descent, Ozwald Boateng. He has been selected among others to show at the New York Arise (Spring/Summer) Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in September 2012. All the winners were presented with special magnums of premium Moet & Chandon champagne.
In the model category, Dudley O’Shaughnessy, emerged Male Model of the year while the Female Model of the year was Georgie Badiel. PETROU\MAN was Mens Wear Designer of the year and Tsemaye Binitie was Womens Wear Designer of the year. Style Icon of the year was Oluchi Onweagba-Orlandi and Fashion Brand of the year was picked up by Temple Muse. The winners in the modelling and brand categories also carted away limited edition Moet & Chandon champagne magnums.
