You may know that Johnnie Walker has been credited with bringing Maybach Music Groups’ Wale to Nigeria for the first time. You may also know that he met his grandfather for the first time on this trip as well. However, Wale was in Lagos to headline ohnnie Walker’s ‘Step Up to the VIP’ event which took place on the 30th of November 2013.
Sasha P, Banky W, Toke Makinwa, Noble Igwe, Banky W, Hauwa Mukhan, and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu are just a few names that came out to support the event.
The space stayed true to the theme of the day as it had Formula1 accents placed all around from the speed tunnel to the main hall where an F1 race car was placed at the center of the hall. There would be no event without music which was provided by Banky W, Seyi Shay, Davido, D’banj and Wale gave an amazing performance as the headline artist for the event.
2-time F1 Champion, Mika Hakkinen also wowed the city of Lagos with his driving skills in the Johnnie Walker Caparo Supercar. He gave various celebrities like MI, Uti Nwachukwu and Johnnie Walker promo winners
a chance to feel the energy behind the wheels of the Caparo Supercar.
