Spice TV’s Fashion Channel put together a Runway Fiesta with a fusion of music, fashion and style featuring collections from 10 amazing Nigerian designers. The two-day event started yesterday, Monday 27th of January, 2014 at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos. It was an exclusive presentation and among those spotted in the crowd were Moet Abebe, Toju Foyeh, Dotun Cool FM, Jeta Amata and more.

The hosts for the night were Adams of Soundcity and Tolula, who wowed the audience with their blending chemistry. Being a fashion show all the guests were suave and stylish in their outfits. Cocktails and a cool music ambiance led us into the fashion show itself.

After the dapper collection shown by Josh Samuels, Ejiro Amos Tafiri sent models on stage with gorgeous pieces accompanied with music by Yemi Alade and her dancers. Yemi Alade had quite unexpected energy especially seeing as she was in 6 inch heels – she didn’t let that stop her as she asked the audience what she should do about “Johnnie”.

Following her performance, GTB’s LFDW young designer winner, McMeka sent out models with beautiful print pieces that had the audience nodding in approval. Music to accompany his collection was from Nigeria’s Jack Sparrow, Rayce.

It really was a fun night. Even though the event was slotted for 5:30pm and started by 8:30, the event itself was fun and interesting enough to give us forgiving hearts.
