The Gorgeous and Green Benefit is an annual fundraiser for Ecofest Nigeria’s Planting for Peace Campaign, which aims to plant 155 million trees across Nigeria over the next 10 years. “We cannot do it alone, we need all hands on deck and the support of the government, private sector, NGOs, and schools to reach this goal,” said Anijah-Obi and added that he was humbled by the support received from the media and entertainment industry, thanking them and encouraging them to do even more.
Anijah-Obi also singled out for praise Mrs. Hadiza Mailafa the Minister of Environment for bringing a renewed sense of purpose and vitality to the sector.
