The Semi-final segment of Africa’s Biggest Talent Hunt Show, Nigeria’s Got Talent is rounding off with big, big excitement packages from the participants on the show.

Amongst the breath-taking performances were displays from Ogechukwu Godwin who stole the show with his amazing violin performance of DavidO’s hit song, Dami Duro and a host of others, all gunning for the #10million naira prize.

“Violin playing is not so popular on the Nigerian music scene, so people expect more from me. I have my chances now to look forward to the next round,” said Ogechukwu. And truly impress everyone, he did.

Joshua Essein, striking all the right cords

There is more. Heroes Comedy Dance Group, rapper Chuka Solace who impressed with his lyrical prowess, Samuel the dance whose hope is to further his education and assist his mother with the prize money, presented an impressive act all hit high notes on performance level. Not forgetting to mention Marlyn Ogechi, the mouth Saxophonist who performed D’jinee’s song ‘Ego’. Singer Pretty Brown from Abuja performed in rap and song. Joshua Essien also did some singing. The Lord’s Chosen Dace Group from Ibadan lit up the auditorium and so did The Sisters, a Benin dance group. The show closed with Edet’s rendition the skater from Calabar.

This semi-final round still continues next week and viewers have the chance to vote weekly for and save their favorite contestants from dropping off the show.

Nigeria’s Got Talent is aired on AIT (10:30 PM), STV (8:00 PM), NTA (4PM), TVC (9PM) and SoundCity (6:30 PM). If you are in the United Kingdom, you can also watch the show on HITV UK Sky 193 (8 PM).

The result shows will be aired on Saturday on AIT(1:00PM), STV(7:30PM), NTA(5:30PM), TVC(9:30PM) and SoundCity (7:30PM). Fans in the United Kingdom can watch the show on HIT UK Sky 193 (8:30PM).

Nigeria’s Got Talent is hosted by Andre Blaze and the judges for the season remain radio host Dan Foster, actor Kate Henshaw and entertainment entrepreneur, Yibo Koko.

The Airtel-sponsored first season of Nigeria’s Got Talent began to air on 16 September and will run until December 2012.

The Got Talent franchise worldwide – which is in its sixth year – has birthed a number of notable performers from Diversity, Bianca Ryan and Britain’s Got Talent’s 2009 1st runner up Susan Boyle, whose debut album became the fastest selling UK debut album of all time, selling over 3 million copies in the U.S.

This is the only talent competition show that is open to any age and any talent with auditions taking the show to numerous cities in search of one-of-a-kind talent.
