Hello fashion lovelies and a very Happy New Year to you all! I hope that you all had a fabulous time welcoming in 2012 and that the next 12 months bring you all the success, love and happiness you desire.

As the New Year comes along, so does a new product review and I am raring to write about my latest gorgeous beauty find that comes in the form of Glossybox - a new and genius money-saving concept that allows you to explore the newest beauty products without breaking the bank.

The Glossybox concept is simple – you pay £10 each month, and each month you will receive a luxuriously packaged Glossybox to your door. Each box will contain five high-end beauty product miniatures for you to indulge in, including product information and application tips. What’s more, after creating your online beauty account upon registration to Glossybox, you may fill in your own beauty profile which enables the Glossybox team to match you with products that complement your beauty needs – ensuring you always receive products that you will be able to make a great use of. Glossybox say that their product selection is original and innovative, and from the great reviews I’ve read along with my own experience, I can strongly agree with the statement. Brands Glossybox use include: Illamasqua, Dermalogica, Ciate, Robert Piguet, Rebel Nails, Stila and Weleda. And it’s not just for the ladies either, Glossybox also make a box especially for men, so the man in your life can also be treated monthly too!

I have to say, I was absolutely thrilled when I received my Glossybox package – it felt like Christmas had come early with the pretty, girly packaging. And it got better – inside the delivery package was a bright red box containing five lovely beauty goodies; Deborah Lippmann Razzle Dazzle Nail Varnish (retails at £16) and the brand’s Stripper To Go sachet, Cargo Lipgloss (retails at £10), full size Rituals Foaming Shower Gel (retails at £6.50), FAB Essentials Face Cleanser (retails at £15) and full size Nouveau Lashes Noir Mascara (retails at £14.99). My box also came with two product information cards which I found useful to read through.

Here’s my take on the products I received…

Deborah Lippmann Razzle Dazzle Nail Varnish and Stripper To Go sachet

Razzle Dazzle and all that jazz! This lovely nail polish sparkles like a diamond and is an extremely wearable colour – perfect for the December Glossybox. After all, it is party season! I’m very careful with my nails anyway, but found the nail polish hard wearing and it didn’t get the ‘dull’ look that so many glitter polishes tend to acquire after a few days use.

The little sachet of Stripper To Go contained a nail varnish remover mitt that claimed to remove varnish from all ten nails – now, I was doubtful after struggling to remove previous glitter polishes before. But to my surprise, the mitt worked nicely and removed all traces of colour. Definitely a handy little product for your beauty bag, and a little bonus? It’s infused with lavender which hydrates the nail plate so won’t leave nails brittle and dry!

Cargo Lipgloss

The Cargo gloss I received was a lovely light pink colour – perfect for creating a natural lip sheen or for slicking over the top of your favourite colour to add a little shine. It’s long lasting and won’t give you the really ‘jammy’ lips feel that a lot of glosses seem to do. Definitely a gloss I’d consider buying in the future.

Rituals Foaming Shower Gel

This gorgeous smelling foaming shower gel has got to be my favourite product out of my Glossybox. Organic sweet almond oil and Indian rose combine beautifully to make a luxuriously moisturising foaming gel that leaves skin feeling clean and smooth. I also loved how the scent lingered on my skin hours after use. Definitely one to restock on when my can runs out!

FAB Essentials Face Cleanser

A soft, nourishing cleanser. The bottle claims it’s ideal for all skin types, and even on my extremely sensitive skin, it proved gentle and effective. The cleanser is meant to reduce skin reactivity with regular use and also calm redness leaving your complexion radiant and even. I loved the texture of the cleanser and my skin felt comfortable and refreshed after use.

Nouveau Lashes Noir Mascara

When it comes to mascara, I believe a fine brush is best, so I was so happy to see that this mascara wand was full of soft delicate bristles. A lovely mascara that is buildable without creating clumps. I also loved the packaging, the smooth black tube was comfortable to hold (and looks stylish in my make-up bag). A winner all around.

So, as you can probably tell from my review, I am an official fan of the Glossybox – I love the idea of getting to try out five different products each month for a mere ten pounds, and I think being able to create a beauty profile to ensure you receive products that suit your needs is a really great idea.

All that’s left to say is a massive thank you to the lovely team at Glossybox for sending my Glossybox of treasure out, and lastly – what are you waiting for FAB Beauty readers? Go get signed up!
