The UK singer and judge on the panel of popular UK dance show, Strictly Come Dancing, was recently pictured fronting Avon’s latest campaign. The 33-year-old has also been given the role of Beauty and Empowerment Ambassador for the UK and Ireland sections of the company.
Alesha will also help to support domestic violence initiatives as a part of her new role has spoken out about her new role: “I’m so incredibly proud to partner with Avon, a company that empowers women and brings beauty to their lives. Being the face of Avon make-up means I’ve discovered so many amazing beauty treats that I can’t wait to share.
Avon describes itself as the company for women, and with over $10 billion in annual revenue, it’s fair to say that quite a few women must agree. The World’s larger direct seller, Avon markets to women in more than 100 countries through around 6.5 million active independent Avon Sales Representatives. Selling beauty products and gifts, Avon has been a well loved company for many years and the brand has gone from strength to strength.
Providing innovative, quality products to customers at competitive prices, Avon now reaches one in three women in the UK, with six million women seeing an Avon brochure every three weeks.
As the company for women, Avon is committed to supporting the causes that matter most to women – breast cancer and domestic violence. Globally, Avon has raised over $800 million to date as the world’s largest supporter of women’s causes
Alesha added, “more importantly Avon has a real heart and a true passion for helping to improve the lives of women, so I hope to make a difference through generating awareness for a cause that is so close to me.”
