The 2014 BRIT Awards had quite a number of glamorous outfits that we absolutely adored (Check out the Red Carpet looks here). More than the outfits we also noticed the impeccable detailing and attention payed to a lot of beauty looks on the red carpet.
We spotted Rita Ora, Laura Mvula, Laura Whitmore, Lily Allen, Pixie Lott, Jessie J, Rebecca Ferguson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Kylie Minogue and so many more celebrities – and while we will love to touch all their beauty looks, we have hand-picked a few that were our favourites in terms of makeup and beauty – we’ve and brought you an up-close look for each.
Looking breath-taking in a beautifully constructed J’Aton Couture one-shoulder dress emphasized with lace inserts and swirling details at the hips, We can’t help but feel like this look was worthy of a grander occasion – regardless we love her red nail/lip combo to round out her look.
TV Presenter Myleene Klass went for something sexier and more contemporary donning an acid-yellow, green-and-black striped Mark Fast Spring 2014 mesh/knit dress with halter and cut-out details. We love everything about the look; especially the styling. We live for vibrant colours especially that hot fuchsia-pink lip.
Nicole has been a diva on the red carpet lately and her look for the BRIT Awards can be added to the list of her awesome red carpet looks. We adore her makeup – she went bold on the eyes and subtle on the lips, a perfect blend.
Jessie J won us over with her frosty lilac lips. So unusual for the red carpet and while a lot of people may be put off by it, we love the change. Her nude embellished catsuit works well for her beautiful body and the suit fits pretty well.
Boy George had us gushing. Not a lot of guys entered this list for obvious reason but his bold step with a hint of red eye makeup and boldly applied eye-liner had our votes of glam.
While it seems red lips are over done on the red carpet, Elle Eyre looks demure and soft even with the bold lips. We also like the fact that she wasn’t afraid to go on the red carpet with big hair.
Working a dress as fiery as her flame-coloured hair, the British garage singer wore a Torn By Ronny Kobo ‘Ainsley’ open stitch dress which perfectly showcases her figure. Red sandals, lips plus gold jewels and a gold clutch rounded out her look. The red hair, red dress and bold red lipstick won us over.
Dressed in a 1965 Norrell midnight-blue high-neck, long-sleeve sequins gown from vintage emporium WilliamVintage; this is yet another highly dramatic look for Lily. Some might not be able to appreciate the yellow ombre hair matching her Chanel clutch, but we think it’s a fun quirk to her look. We also love the yellow highlights under her eyelids.
Rita Ora had on a Prada canary yellow embellish gown with a criss cross back from the spring 2014 collection. She went with bold smokey eye makeup accentuated with green flicks while she had on nude lipstick so as not to over-do the look. We love her lack of red lipstick.
With her simple bodycon dress, Rebecca Ferguson went in hard with her makeup with bold smokey eyes and nude pink lipstick. We would have loved to see red lips as the nude pink lipstick is a safe look. But we love the over-all achieved beauty look.
