Since her 2012 win at the FAB Awards, Rita Dominic continues to be a symbol and proof that success and handwork pays. Firstly, she was nominated for the Nigerian Movie Awards in October of 2013 and indeed bagged the Best Actress in Leading Role Award thrashing Funke Akindele, Mercy Johnson, Bimbo Akintola and Nse Ikpe Etim.
The Meeting
Almost two weeks after ‘The Meeting’ was released on DVD, the multiple award-winning comedy, produced by the Nollywood actress and Mildred Okwo recorded unprecedented success the movie market.
The movie, which was released on DVD in January 1, 2014 reportedly sold over 50,000 copies within two weeks of its release! ‘The Audrey Silva’ company, owned by Rita Dominic had to immediately order for more copies to satisfy the markets demand.
Ebony Life TV’s Screen Divas
From Nollywood films to reality TV series, ‘Screen Divas,’ a reality TV programme on the Ebony Life Television Network, Rita Dominic stars alongside three other Nollywood Queens including Funke Akindele, Kate Henshaw, Uche Jombo. The aim of the reality show was for the ‘NollyDivas’ to meet and have abused women share their real life stories with them in a bid produce a short film titled ‘New Horizons’ to give every woman who suffers domestic abuse hope for a better tomorrow.

Rita Dominic’s exceptional skill on the self-produced movie ‘The Meeting’ also gained recognition at the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards which held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos two weeks ago.
‘The Meeting’ won the New Era Award Movie and Rita Dominic was in attendance to receive the award.
