British fashion label Eyola presents its latest collection ‘Rumora Tighl Octette’. The brand comprises of Eyola’s Femme De Rose, which allows fashionistas to design their own blazer which is handmade in London and then delivered to their door, and Eyola specialising in one-of-a-kind and limited edition cocktail dresses, evening gowns and bridal wear, all timeless without an ‘expiration’ date – thus shunning the short-lived lifespan that plagues today’s fashion industry.
Speaking of the latest collection, creative director Eyola says, “Doug Batchelor’s theory on truth and light being under constant attack from deception and darkness captivated me. Batchelor’s findings reveal that while physical wars have dominated history’s attention, the primary focus of scripture is the ongoing conflict between the forces of good and the powers of evil. Doug Batchelor notably points out that, ‘although our armour and weapons are spiritual, this does not mean they are unreal or ineffective. Scripture urges us to ‘stand’ with the armor of light. If we don’t stand for something, we will fall for anything‘”
Each Eyola collection takes the form of Octettes, which is comprised of eight individually crafted and distinct designs, each with its own personality. Ruomra Tighl, Eyola’s current Octette, rearranges the letters of the words ‘Armour (of) Light’. Each Octette’s name follows this process of anagramming, inspired by the popular 19th century anagram word games, making for a playful yet sophisticated collection.
