Dan Brown, author of best-selling novels The Da Vinci Code, Digital Fortress, Lost Symbol and more has exciting news as his best-selling novel “Digital Fortress” is being turned into a television series having just landed a put pilot commitment from ABC!

A put pilot is a pilot that the network agrees to air unless they want to face a significant financial penalty. This pretty much guarantees the series will be picked up.

Here is a synopsis of the book: The story is “a sexy cat-and-mouse game between a Snowden-esque character that is threatening to release all of the government’s secrets to the highest bidder and our female cryptographer and her elite team who are tasked to stop him. Teeming with double-crosses in matters of both national security and the heart, ultimately Digital Fortress begs the very real question, who guards the guards?”

Written by Josh Goldin and Rachel Abramowitz (Outlaw Country), Digital Fortress an international thriller set in the world of the NSA during a global threat.

After producing blockbusters The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment are reteaming with best-selling author Dan Brown to recreate his Digital Fortress novel into a series.

This is pretty exciting news for Dan Brown fans – and we have to admit, we are excited about the news as well.
