On April 12, a select group of Nigerian celebrities, social influencers and content creators were introduced to the ritzy new Google +social content platform. Hosted by Global Search Engine giants Google, the event also unveiled the Google+ Hangout, an electrifying new experience of connecting with select fans online.

“This has been an amazing experience for us at Google Nigeria,” Affiong Osuchukwu, Country Marketing Manager Google, stated. “ We are pleased at the level of engagement and intimacy the Google + experience has brought to the participants even as we are expectant of bigger things in Nigeria like it is happening across the world with Google +.” She added.

Hanging out at the glitzy event was a long list of celebrities including, Basketmouth, Sasha, Adebola Williams, AY, Waje, Tosyn Bucknor, Davido, Tosin Martins, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Toolz, Isio Wanogho, Kelechi Amadi Obi, Isaac Emokpae, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Ufuoma Ejenobor, Uche Jumbo, Omoni Oboli, Joe Blue, Diwari and others. All participants and celebrities were introduced to the irresistible Google+ social media experience and they had the opportunity to have one-of-a kind hangout with fans from all corners of the world including China, Brazil and The USA.

Google+ is a social content platform launched in 2011 with currently over 90 million active users and it is enabling people all over the world to connect around content of mutual interest. Google+ enables users to share photos, videos, links, or anything else by using the share box on any Google site or +1 buttons across the web. Users must however have a gmail account, set up their profile and created circles of their friends, family, colleagues, etc. on Google+ prior to sharing anything.
