A week after Lami Phillips has released her latest single “Kotobata” featuring Olamide off her upcoming album Pieces of Love, we are still none the wiser what “kotobata” actually means so we thought perhaps we could ask Lami to enlighten us.

a person, place, thing or situation that has wahala, trouble; a scattered mess.

used to describe a person, place, thing or situation that has wahala, trouble or depicts a scattered mess.

 

“This your outfit is KOTOBATA, you look like Mary Amaka.”

 

“That club is KOTOBATA, the people there are perpetually high and confused.”
